Legal Question in Insurance Law in Texas
life insurance
shouldn't a life insurance company have to provide you with an original policy and not just a certificate? My fathers insurance company claims they wouldn't have that policy since it was bought in 1984, they say it was to long ago for them to have the policy. So how am i suppose to check and see if they are jacking him around on prices or even if thye have switched his policy types ie: from whole life to term.

Re: life insurance
Of course, the company has the policy. They have all policies since 1584 - or before. You nose must be accurate. Dead fish usually smell bad. Keep digging on this but hurry. Time may be running out. Might be a good idea to get a lawyer. Good Luck.
Re: life insurance
you could hire a lawyer who may have to sue the life insurer...if the policy is large enough and you would be able to pay for services
