Legal Question in Insurance Law in Texas
Life insurance
Purchased term life insurance thru employer that allowed portability.
Left company continued coverage on spouse , eventually divorced and spouse died.
Now Metlife wants to return premiums paid and $2,000. copensation. stating policy void under ERISSA .
Do I have a case? If so, what type of lawyer should I contact?

Probably..call a competent PI lawyer in your area or call us..we need to see the policy and the basis for the denial..but Texas law does hold divorced spouse should not collect..but any other heirs??children/siblings/parents???
