Legal Question in Insurance Law in Texas
How long can a car be placed on hold with the pound for an investigation by the fire department? Does the insurance company need the car to be released before they can continue with their process being that they have went in and taken pictures of the car? The car was stolen December 27 and found the same day and as of today its still on hold. Insurance company states they have all their information but they need the car to be released

Write a letter to the fire marshal and tell him that you cannot get paid for it until the fire marshal releases it. Asked them if there is any reason that it must still be held and what that reason is. Send a copy of it to your insurance company
