Legal Question in Insurance Law in Texas
mortgage/insurance/claims
There was a collateral mortgage under someone else name and since 2006 I was covering the mortgage payments, insurance and property taxes. After IKE the insurance policy which was not under my name but was paid by me, paid towards the damages over $140000 from which the outstanding loan was paid off. Now the owners want me to pay the paid off amount to them as they are saying that they try to do me a favor paying out the outstanding balance.
Could you please let me know what are my options

Re: mortgage/insurance/claims
apparently you did not use a lawyer nor a title company...but if you did, ask them. This should have been addressed at purchase. But if they were owed the mortgage and are paid, it would be double dipping for them to be paid again..call us if you need help..or call a local attorney..
