Is it a good idea to give a recorded statement to the insurance company of a person who has rear ended your car?

It is NEVER a good idea to give a recorded statement to an insurance company (yours or theirs) without an attorney on the phone with you. Remember that the insurance company is not taking the statement to help YOU, they are taking it in order to try to find some way of NOT PAYING the claim. Regardless of how nice the adjuster may seem, he or she is NOT on your side. Particularly if you are injured, you simply must hire an attorney to protect you before talking to an insurance company.
