Legal Question in Insurance Law in Texas
Renters Insurance claims
My husband just retired from the military and we moved and had the goverment move us in the process some of our household goods were damaged. We have renter insurance and have kept the payments up to date. We filed a claim with our insurance and they said that they want the goverment to pay for the damage. Can they deny our claim. If so then what is the point of having renters insurance?

Re: Renters Insurance claims
Under what part of the policy did you make a claim. The ins. co. may have a point (which I hate to concede) that the govt. movers may be responsible for your claim. Did you make a claim to the movers? I they (movers) deny the claim, then you will probably have to sue everybody. Good Luck.
