Legal Question in Insurance Law in Texas

My sister was in an accident

My sister was hit by a kid driving his grandfathers work truck. He ran 2 red lights and broadsided her.She did not go to the hospital because she was just stiff necked and stiff backed. No cuts or bruises. He had insurance and so did his grandfather. She had 3 witnesess and also took pictures of the accident. The adjuster came out from the kids insurance and totaled her car.Now they have sent her a letter saying that they are denying the claim because he brought forth 1 witness that was behind him and she says he did not run the red light. My sister is 43 years old and never had a ticket or accident. When he hit her he ran to her car and the door wouldn't open.He was panicked. Then when he got the door open she asked him why he ran the red light and he said he was talking on his cell phone. He had 2 other people in the truck with him and one of them ran away afetr the accident.Did not want to be talked to.Does she have any recourse. She is being told that because she did not go to the hospital she doesn't have a leg to stand on.I also don't understand why the police came out but did not write the guy a ticket for running 2 red lights. All of her witnesses say he ran the red light. She only had liablitity and that doesn't replace her car thank

Re: My sister was in an accident

Your sister needs a lawyer. Insurance companies do not listen to accident victims. Obviously, this is a matter of considerable financial concern for your sister and if she wants help, she better hurry.
