Legal Question in Insurance Law in Texas

I have sole custody of my 5 year old son. I have provided his mother with a copy of his insurance card in case he is in her care and needs medical attention. This morning I received a medical claim of $14k for the delivery of her second child (not mine). She is not on my insurance and has not been for the past 4 years which she is aware of. My insurance company recently denied the claim and I am wondering if there are any criminal charges that can be pressed against her.

I would advise you to notify your insurance company of all of the facts behind this claim. They may want to make a claim of attempted insurance fraud. The claim is not really yours to make because she was unsuccessful.

This is really a shame; I'm not sure what she was thinking!
