Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Texas
Have a business, it deals with inventory. Recently we've been looking into putting that inventory online. The inventory we've always sold in store has been from a distributor that we'd resell from. We want to put that inventory online. So the question is, we have an account with the distributor, they have watermarks on their photos. Can we use their photos in our store online to sell the inventory we have always resold? Or do we have to obtain the images by other means? If we took a picture of the item, would it be ok for us to post that image on the store front?

If you want to use the distributor's images, you will likely have to enter into a license agreement for using the images with the distributor. To create a simple license agreement for the images, feel free to contact me or another attorney.
