Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Texas
How much do I have to change material?
If I want to use a copyrighted song, picture or diagram; what is the minimum amount I must change the song or image to no longer be in violation of the copyright? A competing company has taken our curriculum handout and simply replaced their logos and a few bullet points. Are they in violation of our copyright?

Probably. You should contact a copyright lawyer, assuming you've already copyrighted your curriculum handout.
