Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Texas
Can I use the name of a company if I'm writing an opinion of them or giving them a compliment without it being considered infringement or breaking copy right laws - if the opinion is used to help sell a product or service?

It will depend on if you are using any trademarked or copy written material in your writing.
I am an Austin Accident Attorney so this is not my normal practice area.
My suggestion is to e-mail the company and ask permission to write the favorable review (or contact a lawyer specializing in this area).
Good Luck!
