Computer Software Piracy

What are the current Texas and federal laws regarding computer software piracy?

At least, is there a general law - a place for me to start? I am doing a project for school...

Start with the federal Copyright Act, Chapter 17 of the U.S. Code. Then start searching the newspapers for stories about downloading music, etc. That will give you the information you're looking for.

You'll learn how to research, get a far better handle on the present state of the law than if I regurgitated the information to you, and will probably get a far better grade on your project.
