Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Texas
Copyright for Training Seminar
I will be teaching several classes using content I have developed over the past several years. What can I do to protect the content? Is the content copyrightable? If so, is there a relatively simple inexpensive way to do this as I am just starting out?

Yes copyright registration is relatively inexpensive. Depending on how many separate works you have, the fee official governmental fee is $30 per application.
Re: Copyright for Training Seminar
Copyright registration is simple and inexpensive, as noted in Mr. Look's comment. Copyright is automatic, even without registration, but you should register to get extra advantages--the main advantages being the ability to enforce the copyright in court, as a registration is required for court jurisdiction and the ability to obtain statutory damages in the event of suit.
You will likely need several registrations, such as one for each course or each year's materials. You should have a copyright lawyer do the first application, obtain a copy of that application, and then use it as a model and do the others yourself, having the copyright lawyer merely double check your applications prior to being filed.
