I am developing a non-commercial videogame that only a few friends and I will play. Is it legal for me to use copyrighted music in my game?

As a Franchise Attorney I agree with the other attorney answer, but add the following. You can make it legal by getting permission, usually via a license from the copyright owner. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
