Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Texas
Legal usage of an individual's photograph on website to promote a business
If I were to use a picture of individual/s on a personal website to promote my business (they knew the pic was being taken for that business), what kind of legal action would those in the pictures take if they didn't want to be associated with the business? Second question, the flip side, if the business started doing really well, would those in the pictures (both adults and minors) be able to profit in any way i.e. financially just for their picture being used? Or would I have to have release forms signed before I could use the pictures? If anyone could be of any help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Get release forms! That avoids all sorts of potential unpleasantness.
