Quitclaim
I paid $45,000 of my money to my husbands ex for her 1/2 of the house? she signed and notarized release from house through a lawyer.How do I do a quitclaim to take her name off the title and put mine on for my 1/2 of the house I paid for? The house is free and clear.

You don't want a quitclaim, since that's an automatic cloud on title. You want a warranty deed where she's transferring her undivided 1/2 interest to you. When that's filed, that will remove her name and add yours.
