Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Texas
How can I research logo's and copyrights to make sure I'm not infringing on
my competitors rights. My product is also for a different gender? I want to
make sure I'm legally sound when I launch my product line?
Where do I find out how to protect my copyrights, how do I apply for a patent?
Or would it also be called a copyright? Help
My competitor is also in another state, do I need to find out about the laws
of that state as well as my own?

You can research federal trademarks and patents on www.uspto.gov and copyrights on www.copyright.gov. See the FAQs first for definitions of what each form of intellectual property protects. It sounds to me like you are probably most concerned with trademarks (the brand name and logo of a product/service).
I STRONGLY recommend that you seek the advice of experienced intellectual property counsel before proceeding. You should do some research yourself, but only an IP attorney will know how to interpret the results of a search.
