Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Texas

Video consent

Daughters company (start-up) conducts seminars at schools for teachers. We want to audio/video tape the seminar, we may use the audio/video to develop DVD copies for sale at some future date. What if any releases do we need from the school, and or participants?

Thank You

Jim

Re: Video consent

You need a Release and Waiver from each person photographed or recorded if you wish to use these for sale.

Re: Video consent

You will also need a location release from the school. If there is to be an audience watching the seminar who may appear in an audience shot, you need to make an announcement and take the same pro forma steps that a TV/film company takes.
