Legal Question in Investment Law in Texas

401k shortage

The company I worked far in the past, but kept my 401k money in closed their 401k. I was the only person that the 401k investment company FORGOT to pay. I found out by talking to an existing employee where I worked that indeed he had received his 401k distribution check 6 months previous to our conversation.I then contacted the 401k investment company and was sent2 months later a check with a value much less than what I should have received 8 months previous (when everyone else was paid). They refuse to send we the balance. What kind of lawyer do I need for this kind of case? There are a lot more details, but I've kept it brief. Thank you so much, J.R. (Houston, TX)
