Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in Texas

Leaving while 16 and returning when 17

If I runaway while I'm 16 and come back when I'm 17 can they pull something like charging me with truancy while I was gone. Or being an underage runaway even though when I come back I'm old enough to runaway and drop out?

At 16 or 17, they can charge anyone who harbors you with a crime. Of course if you do not attend school, you would be truant. The main thing though is that living on the street is not so romantic or easy as it might seem. It is a hard, cold and deadly place, populated by those who will attack you, assault you, rape you and generally prey upon you, whether you are male or female. It is quite literally the worst thing in the world.
