Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas
11 months ago my fiancee was working at a Texas bank as loan officer and as a teller on the occasional weekend, so she had a drawer in the vault that was constantly stocked with money. She and the bank managers were the only ones with accesses to her drawer. One day, $6,000 was missing from her beginning shift count up. She got fired and was asked to take a polygraph test. As soon she passed, the bank called off the investigation . We found out later that the bank president has a gambling problem, and has gotten in trouble before, so we believe he is behind it, which, as I see it, may make this an insurance fraud case. My fiancee has been unemployed since this experience because every time she is interviewed, she is asked about her previous employment, and, being an honest person, she tells them the whole story. To add insult to injury, she was denied unemployment do to "violation of contract" because it was her drawer. Is there anything we can do to clear her name?

She has been slandered/libeled by the bank and the bank president...she should be entitled to damages and the bank should change it's policy as to her...this will not be easy but a good lawyer may get it done without litigation...But if litigation is needed after proper demand..it will be lengthy...Hopefully you have documents to support her claim? if not, I do not see correction without litigation..
