Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

i have a 2 year old son, i was paying a girl to watch him. we had no contract or anything saying she would watch him. well i found out in the time of her watching him that she had taken him to different places using her car, and she had not used his car seat. there are many other problems i have had with her, but that is my main one, it's happened twice. i was wondering if i was obligated to pay her? especially since her mom is texting me threats at the moment

You say you had no contract with her. That being the case, how is she entitled to payment?
