Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

Against company policy

Hello,

I work for a large medical product company. I was asked by my supervisor to do something against company policy in order to get a sale. The hospital in my territory wanted to purchase a product, but had no room to store the item. My boss told me to go ahead and sell the item, but let the hospital know I would pick up the item and store it at home until they needed it which is illegal. I am leaving the company because they have been trying to fire me wrongfully. I would like to let hr know what he asked me to do. Should I????

Re: Against company policy

Employees are protected from reporting the illegal activities of their employers by what is referred to as whistle blower laws. You should report the incident and if you are fired or otherwise retaliated against for reporting the violation, the law will protect you.
