Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas
I am considered contract labor working for a hotel, restaurant, bar establishment. He made me sign a non-compete clause in all the previous said industries, with a 3 year term. I only worked for the man for a few weeks. Yesterday was pay day and he would not pay me, I got upset and he fired me, without reason (no reason needed in texas). Therefore he broke the contract by not paying me which makes the rest of the contract null and void I think. Also, the limitations on 3 industries in not reasonable at all. Please help, I have worked in food service for years and have 3 children to support alone.

Don't worry about the "non-compete" clause. Go find another job. It is VERY unlikely that this clown will sue you for taking a job in another restaurant.
Right now, while it's fresh on you mind, write up a "report" of the dates and times that things happened - conversations with your former boss - the names of witnesses, etc. You may need it later.
