Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas
Discrimination & retaliation
I am a General Mgr with good record, have a new district manager that I believe practices discriminatory hiring practices. Tried to contact area mgr via email for days, ignored, contacted HR. While I am in the meeting with HR, DM posts my job on the sly at craigslist with his wifes name & cell #. I had people call and show interest and confirm it is my job. this co has recruiters and never post jobs on the sly on craigslist. I wrote letter to owner of co in another state and told him while I was in meeting with HR my job was posted online and it is retaliation for my complaining about the discriminatory hiring practices of the DM.. The posting has come down, area mgr denies any knowledge of it as well as HR man. Have a meeting in the am with all to see if it can be ''worked out'' at the area mgrs request. The Dm hires inexperienced males at a higher rate than experienced females. Now I am scared of the DM and feel like he is out to get me. He did go against co policy to advertise my job the way he did.
What should I expect now and do I have a valid EEOC complaint. I need advice.

Re: Discrimination & retaliation
In my opinion you may have a case if adversely treated, but as of now..AM and HR...need to follow company policy. If they don't go over them..but if the company has one written policy, a different actual policy...you would be wise to look for a different job
