Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas
ex employer has filed false theft charges
Iwas just called by a detective that said ex employer says that I have a laundry list of his property. I tried to explain that in actuality he has property of mine and he is doing this in retaliation for me quitting. The detective now wants me to come in tomorrow with my list of property that my ex employer has. Is someone going to come into my home and tear it apart looking for stuff that's not here? Do I need an attorney? Should I evan see the detective before I have an attorney?

Re: ex employer has filed false theft charges
get a competent criminal lawyer and if you are falsely accused and damaged, call a good peronal injury lawyer...if you go see a detective alone you effectively waive rights to a lawyer..and what you say can be used against you..
