Can my employer fire me for attending surgery requested by my doctor

Union busting has been successful...less than 10% of employees are unionized. If u r in a union, u may have rights to medical care etc.
BUT the law is that an employer can fire an employee for almost any reason..only exceptions are discrimination acts..and even those don't apply to small employers. so YES is the answer
