Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

Employment law

I believe that I was fired because of a personal reasons against me. I never received any warning of work that was not satisifactory. I was always told what a good job I was doing and then one day I was let go. They told me I made mistakes and when I asked for some examples, they refused to show me. I have been trying to get another job and am afraid that they are giving me a bad reference. I have also heard different things from the office about how things came about. If they are giving me a bad reference, what can I do so I can get a good job?
