Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas
Federal Law
Is there a federal law that prohibits employment of an employee that has a relationship with a fellow employee (like boyfriend/girlfriend) in the same department. Are they or are they not able to work in the same department. They are not married to each other. One is a supervisor.

Re: Federal Law
There is no state or federal law that prohibits such employment. Especially where one person is supervising the other, however, it is generally not a good idea. Such employment circumstances can lead to animosity among co-workers, concerns about preferential treatment, and even allegations of sexual harassment, particularly if the relationship ends.
