Can I be told to take the fifth by my employer in a grand jury?

You can be "told" but you need not comply. That is a personal decision for which you should obtain independent legal advice.

If you are being subpoenaed before a grand jury you may have bigger issues than whether your employer can tell you to take the Fifth. You should contact an experienced criminal lawyer NOW. Call them on the telephone. Do not wait for email.
