Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

hostile work environment

I am 10 months from retirement. My new boss told a fellow employee he planned to let me go. Because of my retirement, he has now told me to serve as support only to my asst. I am afraid he will get angry again and fire me. I am under a dr's care for depression. Is there anything I can do to protect myself and avoid walking on eggshells around him?
