Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

I'v Been Jipped

A friend hired me to do some computer work for her and she promised to pay me 600.00 dollars. This was a verbal agreement and the only witness to the agreement was my daughter. I did not ask her to sign any sort of document because she was my friend. She and I agreed that the work would be saved on a floppy disk because my computer did not want to save it on a cd. When I completed the work and gave it to her she told me she would pay me on Thursday when she did her invoices. It is now 2 months later and no pay. I contacted her by phn and she said she would pay me when she wanted to because I didn't put the info on cd. She refused to give the work back and she refuses to pay. Since I didn't get a contract from her do I have any legal rights to take her to small claims court and if so do I have a fair chance of winning? Also can my daughter be a witness for me if she heard the conversation between myself and this person? Also if I can take her to court and I win and she refuses to pay even then how can I recoup the money from her?

Take her to small claims court. Your daughter can be a witness. Your friend has not denied that she owes you the money. She only has refused to pay. Call us if you want7137714775
