Currently looking for a job was told by potential employer that a former employer indicated that I stole from him. He is also reporting the same thing about several other previous employees. Do I have any legal recourse?

He can be sued for slander..and if he has any money..you may collect damages..as could the other employees..but most lawyers would not take on a strict contingency...Also, report to the Texas Workforce Commission
