Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

When to get a lawyer after filing an EEOC complaint

I filed a complaint with the EEOC because I believe I've been the victim of racial, sexual and national origin discrimination. I've been subject to a hostile work environment. The EEOC says my former employer will receive the complaint within 10 days, and mediation will follow within 30 days. When do I seek the services of an attorney?

Generally, you can seek the services of an employment attorney at any time. It is always better to retain an attorney in advance to allow the attorney sufficient prep time for the hearing. If my law firm can assist you with this legal issue or any other legal matter, please contact my legal assistant Jennifer ([email protected]).
