Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas
I currently live in Texas and I just started a new job where there are cameras throught the site that not only record video but also sound. Besides just being in the work area there is a camera in the break room. We had to sign a waiver saying that we are aware that this is for helping us with our customer service and that the video would be used to show us what we are doing wrong and we could get a phone call at anytime to correct our behavior because the video can also be viewed from the bosses home. I can see the reasoning behind having eh cameras in work area but the break room as well? Is this legal in Texas?
