Mitigating an Federal Adminstrative Record

I have an adminstrative action on my file at a Federal Training Center

from when I worked with DHS. I was using what I believed to be abandoned property and when the instructors told me it had been reported stolen they began to threaten my job. I lied to try to keep my job saying I had bought the property. I didnt have any representation and was never put under oath. During a follow up inquiry I told the truth and was told I had to leave the school for my dishonest behavior. The incident happened back in July 2007, I subsiquently quit (was never told I would be fired only that they would give me another job) and returned home. I have a security clearance as Im in the Service and I am trying to pursue other Law Enforcement Possitions. I dont want this thing affect my security clearance or job opportunities. What can I do?

That is not a "legal" question. If you had asked a lawyer, he should have told you..say nothing or tell the truth. There is no way to take the effect of a lie from one's record.....if you are young...try another field..but that is counsel for life..not for legal matters..
