Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

Non payment for hours contracted

I worked as a independent contractor through a (temp agency) I recieved a check of non-sufficient funds this agency is not willing to make good on the check. In the meantime my bank account is now in a disarray!

What can I do to get paid without spending other monies?....... or what are my options? Should they

also be reponsible for damages to my bank account?

Your recourse is to file a claim against whomever. Unfortunately, this will cost money because it will entail hiring an attorney. However, should you prevail, your court costs and attorney costs would be recoverable.
