Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas
I was offered a promotion in my company and turned it down because the salary was not satisfactory. My employer asked what they could do to change my mind. They would not budge on salary so I (verbally) negotiated a company vehicle as part of my compensation. After 2 1/2 years of having a company car, with the company paying all vehicle expenses, they have decided to take away the vehicles with no remuneration. Is my verbal contract binding?
