Re: Overtime for Sallaried Employees, Payment Schedule, and Disciplinary Action

1. Whether you are salaried or hourly, you may be entitled to overtime pay. If salaried, you derive your hourly wage by dividing your annual salary by 2080 and then apply time and one-half to any amount you work over 40 hours in a week, subject to some adjustments too complicated to go into here.

2. An employer should pay its hourly workers every two weeks or bi-monthly.

3. The individual company's written policy should address this issue.

Wage and hour and overtime issues can be complicated. If you have any further questions, you should address those to a lawyer experienced in the area of employment law.
