Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

For the past 19 months I was working for an oral surgeon as his dental assistant but spontaneously quit due to his verbal abuse! HE directly and indirectly yells hurtful words,offensive/insulting phrases disguised in a benign language,belittling me which affected me mentally and emotionally. Do I have a chance of being applicable for unemployment benefits? Can I hire a lawyer to get some compensation? He would make us work through lunch with no pay and work over time with no pay.

You won't get a lawyer to take this case on a contingent fee basis.

My advice is: go look for another job, and forget about your old boss.
