I went to jail for p.o.m it was a mist. but now I have my chl can I become a police officer

Generally, a misdemeanor charge should not preclude you for becoming a police officer. Each agency will have their own individual requirements for admission and/or acceptance. You need to speak with that police agency you are looking to join and see if they will allow you to obtain employment with a prior misdemeanor.
