more qualified, but Iam a woman in a mans field

I worked test cell and flightline 9 years. worked 8 different jet engines. Operation, troubleshooting, removal and installation,buildup teardown. I work civillian now with all men there is approx 30 in our shop. This is at kelly afb.The question is people who do not know an intake from an exhaust are my supervisers. Why? THEY ARE ALL BUDDIES.The company recognizes my expierences by my salary. Its approx4.00 an hour more then all but 3 of the men.Why are the lesser paid men being my boss? Ihave worked engines 20 years now.These men, off the street.

I would imagine that that's what the company decided. It may not be to your liking, but unless there is discrimination under the law, it's the company's decision.
