Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas
I was recently released from a job position (provided through a temp service) after being sexually harrassed.
The sexual harassment was verbal and physical (being cornered in my cubicle while my co-worker pulled out his genitals and tried to force me to engage). The man then became very rude to me once I rejected him several times. This all happened within the first two weeks of my employment at that company. I did not tell on him. However, I did tell the receptionist out of frustration.
A month and a half later, the receptionist told the HR department. They called me down, interviewed me about it. I provided evidence via email and text messages. The man got fired the next day. On that following Monday, my temp service said the company ended my assignment.
I feel as though my assignment was ended because I was a victim of sexual harassment. The job paid $15/hour plus overtime. I was making a gross pay of ~$765/week. I have not been able to find a job with comparable pay since the incident occurred.
Please provide me any advice regarding this situation. I would definitely pursue legal actions if advised to do so.
Best regards.

You may have lost all rights..because when that happens, the victim must report to a supervisor...it is disgusting and if reported, then fired, could be compensable..also firing after reporting is retaliation..normally good damages are paid...so if you have better facts..ie why did u wait? who was the harasser? what was the company, etc..you may have some help..let me know if I can help
