Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas
refusal to accept relocation
The company my husband works for has asked him to relocate. If he refuses, is this considered a resignation, or would they have to sever him? Would this be deemed ''with cause''? Also, as he was employed in Texas, and worked also in Mexico (with an FM3) would Mexican severance law also pertain to this case?

Re: refusal to accept relocation
Normally lawyers would visit with your husband and advise him without charge...but this is a complicated matter ...in general, an employer can fire without cause..and one is entitled to unemployment benefits..but I don't see why Mexican law applies..
