Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas
I'm a salaried employee. Our company was bought out and we are now required to fill out timesheets. Except that they are telling us what hours we are allowed to fill out and then on our pay stubs giving us an hourly rate. So technically we are now being paid by the hour, we all work ot every week but can't write that down. I for one have a contract. I don't know how well I'm explaining it but it seems very sketchy. What is going on? Is this normal and legal?

That sounds like you are being deprived pay for your overtime and you are not being treated like a salaried employee so should not be treated as a salaried, exempt employee.
