Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas
I signed an "Employee Non-Compete Contract" a small computer company in Texas. I understand If i was an employee I would be bound to the contract, but I was considered a contract laborer. I was paid as a contract laborer and I have 1099 forms to prove it. So am I legally bound to the contract?

We have defended such "consultants" contract people and you are probably bound..but one needs to read the non compete as frequently they are void because no limited as to time/area and/or there are no trade secrets..eg a grocery store clerk..
