Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

I signed a 9 month contract with a school district. However, I am struggling financially and have had many situations come up recently that have drained my accounts. I barely have enough to cover my bills, let alone pay for a $1500 car problem and medical bills. I am a single mom who only gets $100/mo for child support. I have a job offer from a company who is willing to pay me $15k more per year. I would like to break my school contract but don't want to get into trouble or be sued. Is it ok to break a contract for financial reasons?

No..contracts put obligations on both parties..the school and you BUT go talk to the person in charge...and get a written release..but it could affect your future in the teaching profession IF the school releases you...Also, look at the contract..they may be a hardhip or similar provision
