Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

I need a solid answer...I work as a contractor for a carpet cleaning company in dallas, tx and they have been taking money out of my checks. Alot of money without much explanation. Recently I was at the grocery and damage was dont to my work van while it was in the parking lot(I pay a lease so Im allowed to use the truck as I want while Im off) and the person that did it left no note or info while I was inside and now they are looking to charge me for the damage. I called 911 immediatly when I noticed the damage to make a report. Can they charge me for the damage or can they do it thru insurance, the officer told me they could claim ins since I reported it imediatly. And are the legally allowed to take money from my checks like thay have been? I have been told they HAVE to pay me all my money and then invoice me for anything I owe them.

Please help, I have two kids that rely on my and my bills arent getting paid with what their doing. I'm 100% positive they are pocketing the money they randomly take from me.
