Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas
Can a store owner be held liable for property damage caused by his employee, while on duty and which occurred on the employer's property. Case in point, store employee, while on duty was fighting in the parking lot with his son and caused approximetley $600 of damage to my car that was in the parking lot.

Possibly. The employee certainly is liable but the employer might also be liable. If you had the car repaired through your car insurance then your insurer should pursue the employer for repayment. If you paid for the repairs out of pocket then your best option would be to try to negotiate repayment with the employer and employee. If that doesn't work your only real option is to sue the business, the owner and the employee.
