Can I sue a former employer for slander if they fire me for theft without them having proof?

Slander is a cause of action having to do with damage to your reputation. Has your former employer been telling people that you stole from them? Or did he only tell YOU?

Unless he has been telling people that you stole from him, there's no cause of action for slander.
